Racing and Competitions
Bath Snowsports might be known best for our amazing socials, Christmas and Easter trips, but we are also a proper sports club at the University, and compete in BUSA recognised events. We are involved in racing for all levels, from beginner to advanced, encouraging everyone to get involved and most importantly enjoy it!
To participate in race training and racing events, you will need to become a full member of the club. To become a full member or to find out the difference between social and full membership, see our membership page.

Racing Events
Each year Bath competes in many competitions, ranging from dry slope to indoor to actual snow! Most events are Team events, based around dual slalom, racing another University’s team. We have been very successful in the past with teams coming 4th and 5th in national events, and we often win our regional events. Bath also enters individuals into racing and freestyle competitions.
Kings
Kings is a dryslope championship, where Bath competes in the Western League against universities including: Exeter, U.W.E, Bristol, Plymouth, Swansea and Cardiff. This consists of 4 rounds throughout the year held on Saturday nights, finished with an epic Kings Finals and Ball at the end of the year. We enter both ski and snowboard teams, with fancy dress compulsory, and always celebrate the racing with a big night out after!
BUDS (British University Dry Slope Championships)
BUDS is Held at the famous dryslope in Edinburgh, the largest in Europe (and only dry slope with a piste map!), hundreds of students from all universities take to the slope for race events including, Giant Slalom, Team Dual Slalom, Boarder X, and Freestlye. This event spans over a weekend, and includes 2 epic nights out, with one of them being a Ball. Not to be missed!!
BUISC (British University Indoor Slope Championships)
Consisting of two rounds, the southern round at Milton Keynes Snowdome, and the finals at the Castleford Snowdome, This is indoor racing at its best! After ripping up the real snow slope, and tearing the opposition to shreds, there are always great nights in the bar afterwards with top name Dj’s and live bands with lots of drinks offers!
BUSC main event
